Who is isn't interested in Saving Money? Now that I am a stay at home mom, I try to be a bit more careful on how we spend our money. And of course now, I have college to think about.
Here are some easy ways that I have found to cut some corners:
1. Join http://www.aaa.com/ Just to a name a few of the member benefits...10% off Target.com, 10% of the Gap Outlet, 20% off Geek Squad Services
2. Use Coupon Codes each time you buy online: http://www.retailmenot.com/, http://www.couponcabin.com/, http://www.couponmountain.com/ Why not get free shipping, or $5 off your next order!
3. Use Coupon's at the Grocery Store. Okay, so I don't necessarily have time to go through them all, so I just try to focus on the items that I buy frequently. I go through the Hartford Courant, (any local paper) and clip away.
4. If I am going to make a big purchase, I try to do some research on the web. I tend to always refer to sites like http://www.amazon.com/, http://www.overstock.com/, and http://www.bizrate.com/ . It is amazing to me how much prices can differ from store to store!
5. Each year I buy the Entertainment Book. http://hartford.entertainment.com/discount/home.shtml
They typically have a ton of great coupons.
